Indeed, the Norwegian was not his usual self in the battle versus Gabriel, failing to get change out of the Brazilian.
The duo had a 90 minutes tussle but it’s the Brazilian who came out on top in the battle. Overall, Arsenal would feel like they won here after earning a draw in a place that is not a happy hunting ground for them.

Klopp and all the Liverpool faithfuls are the only true beneficiary from that result at the Etihad. Maybe also Arsenal, who would be delighted to not get beat once again at Etihad. But for both sides involved in the contest, it’s two points dropped in the title race. The frustrations were palpable from Guardiola, who appeared to be laying into Grealish at full time.
As far the neutrals who waited two weeks to see the game, it must be nothing short of utter disappointment.
