Popular website Transfer mrkt have published a list of Cities producing players with the highest market values in the world.
There is a huge number of talented players on the global stage and many more promising up-comers coming from different cities of the world.
European and particularly English players command very huge fees in today’s market. This is no surprise considering the premium clubs pay when pursuing a deal for England internationals.
The likes of Rice, Bellingham, Kane and Grealish have moved for over £100 million in recent seasons and many are set to follow.
So, which make up a list of cities producing players with the highest market values in the world?
1. London- €1.6 Billion
London is the city producing players who have the highest market value. With a combined market value of over €1 billion, they boast the likes of Saka, Rice and Kane among their biggest stars.
2. Paris- €688 million
Paris is the most populous city in France and boasts arguably the best player in the world currently. Kylian Mbappé is set for a move to Real Madrid this summer and his market value of €180 million makes up the combined €688 million for players produced in Paris.
3. Sao Paolo- €622 million
Sao Paolo has produced some of the best players in world football. The City currently boasts of huge stars like Neymar, Eder Militao and Ederson Moraes. They come third on the list of cities which produce players with high transfer values.
4. Madrid- €599 million
Spain currently have some of the most valuable players in the world, but Madrid can boast of having produced most of them.
The likes of Alvaro Morata headline a list of Madrid’s most valuable players.
5. Montevideo- €582 million
Uruguay have some exciting world beaters in their ranks with the likes of Nunez, Ugarte and Valverde.
Montevideo produces most of these players and have a combined value of €582 million.
Other worthy mentions are Rio De Janeiro, Lisbon, Manchester, Birmingham and Amsterdam which make up the top ten.
Lagos, a huge city in Nigeria surprisingly come 15th on the 20-city log, above cities like Rome, Liverpool and Stuttgart
