The Englishman’s insane scoring record continues as Harry Kane breaks another record. He becomes the first player ever to score 31+ goals in his debut season in the Bundesliga.
He breaks the record previously held by Uwe seeler. The German scored 30 goals in his and Bundesliga’s first season in 1963/64.
Harry Kane equaled the record in the 8-1 mauling of Mainz in match game 25. Bayern had to come from behind in the game versus Darmstadt like they did at Mainz. After Jamal Musiala’s equalizer, Kane’s record breaking goal helped Bayern into the lead.
As Harry Kane breaks another record, in the Bundesliga, it marks another record to have tumbled at his feet. He is also set to break Lewandowski’s 41 goals in a season record.
Kane and Bayern’s difficult season set to continue?
Despite his goal scoring exploits, Kane might end the season without any silverware. His side trail Bayer Leverkusen by 10 points and have a difficult route to winning the champions league.
Bayern square off to Arsenal, who have to now sit up and watch their old foe coming into the clash. The Gunners though may already be one up coming into the quarter finals clash in a mouth watering tie.
Bayern come into the class in some serious form after a stuttering start to 2024. Arsenal on the other hand have had a blistering start to the year and have established themselves firmly as Premier League contenders.
The champions league clash between the two teams will be very different from the previous encounters that’s for sure. Bayern may have history on their side but Arsenal have momentum too.
