Brighton suspends Moises Caicedo as his tries to force move

Brighton & Hove Albion has suspended Moises Caicedo till the end of the January transfer window after he asked to leave the club.

Moises Caicedo has been linked with a move away from Brighton with Arsenal being heavily interested in bringing the Ecuadorian to the Emirates.

Chelsea are also interested in the defensive midfielder but are surpassed by Arsenal who are bidding for £60 million ahead of their £55 million bid. Brighton have shown continuously that they are not interested in selling the player in the ongoing January transfer window, raising his transfer fee to £90 million.

Moises Caicedo handed a transfer request to Brighton and also appealed to the club to let him leave in a post shared on his Instagram and Twitter pages.

“I am grateful to Mr. Bloom (club chairman Tony Bloom) and Brighton for giving me the chance to come to the Premier League and I feel I have always done my best for them. I always play football with a smile and with heart,” Caicedo posted.

“I am the youngest of 10 siblings from a poor upbringing in Santa Domingo in Ecuador. My dream always to be the most decorated player in the history of Ecuador.

“I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful.

“The fans have taken me into their hearts and they will always be in my heart so I hope they can understand why I want to take up this magnificent opportunity.”

As the situation regarding his transfer gets more tensed, Brighton has decided they won’t be selling the midfielder this transfer window. The team has asked the player not to report to training till the end of the January transfer window on Tuesday 31st.
