Jeremie Frimpong told Xhaka that he left Arsenal to win a title at Bayer Leverkusen, after sealing the title.

It was always just a matter of time before Bayer would be confirmed as champion’s after bulldozing their way to the title.

Bayer’s wrapped up the title with a 5-0 win over Werder Bremen which confirmed the mathematical impossibility of being toppled by Bayern. But even that would have required an implosion of catastrophic proportions from Bayer to happen.

The team only needed a win from their final eight games to clinch the title, such was the level of dominance they have enjoyed this season.

Bayer Leverkusen win their first title in dominant fashion under Xabi Alonso

The former Liverpool midfielder took charge of Bayer Leverkusen having never managed a first team game before. He guided the team who were in a relegation place to sixth and the semi final of the Europa League last season.

This season, he has proved that he is no fluke and has taken his side to stratospheric heights. NO SIDE has managed to get the better of Alonso’s side this season in ALL competitions. They are top of the league, thirteen points above Bayern, and also into the quarter final of the Europa League. Record breaking Alonso has everyone in Bayer Leverkusen dreaming after winning them their first silverware in 31 years!

Granit Xhaka helps end Neverkusen curse

 

The end of Bayer’s curse is here and the former Arsenal man has played a healthy role in their triumph.

Teammate, Jeremie Frimpong told Xhaka that he left Arsenal to win a title at Bayer Leverkusen. Granit Xhaka wouldn’t care about that though, neither will anyone associated with Bayer Leverkusen.

Xabi Alonso’s men are also currently enroute to an unbeaten season in the Bundesliga after clinching the title.
