Chelsea Academy player, Derrick Abu release music album

A Chelsea football academy player, Derrick Abu has released his music album, showcasing the passion he has for music.

19-year-old Derrick Abu, a defender with Chelsea u20 side who is combining both football and music.

The full-back is popularly called Cho$en by his teammates, being his official stage name. In his newly released album titled Page 1, Derrick Abu made and title a song after Chelsea fullback, Reece James who he idolizes. The song is titled James.

Derrick Abu has been at Chelsea since he was 11-years-old and dreams of breaking into the first team some day. He featured often for Chelsea u18 side and was promoted to Chelsea development squad where he played in Premier League 2.

Abu have great love for football and music and hopes to do both. Speaking with Chelsea official website, he said;

“I want people to know that I have always wanted to do both, so I made sure that I was committed to both and ready for the workload of both as I do not want one to suffer at the hands of the other,” he said. “I want to do both at a high level. It has been relatively easy because I have put my mind to doing both. I believe if I am putting in performances and developing as a footballer, there is no reason I cannot develop as a music artist too.”
