Chelsea weighing up moves for England’s number one and two as club seeks upgrade on goalkeeper options

Chelsea are eyeing moves for England international goalkeepers as they seek an upgrade on their existing options.

The goalkeepers blues are mulling over moves for are Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale and Everton’s Jordan Pickford.

Aaron Ramsdale’s future at Arsenal has long been in doubt since he lost his position to Raya five games into the season. Raya has made the starting position his own with some commanding displays, including THAT penalty shoot out heroics.

Ramsdale may have played his last match for the club after appearing in the 2-1 win over Brentford.

Pickford on the other hand is reaching the pinnacle of his powers at 30, even though he has been playing at the highest level for years now.

Reports emerged linking Chelsea with Pickford who is in contention for the Golden Glove this season. He has been the hero several times for England and Everton with his commanding displays between the sticks.

Ramsdale open to Chelsea switch after being sidelined at Arsenal

Ramsdale has already made the decision to leave Arsenal in the summer in a bid to improve his chances of being in the England squad.

The Englishman is open to a switch to Stamford Bridge and Chelsea want to complete a deal early on. Ramsdale believes he can be the first name in the starting position ahead of Chelsea’s current options.

Chelsea latching on to Everton’s takeover rumble in transfer

Chelsea will look to pounce on any unsettlement at Everton to facilitate their move for Pickford this summer.

Beside the England international goalkeepers, Chelsea have also been linked with Giorgi Mamardashvili who turns out for Valencia.
