A big comparison between Chelsea left backs, Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella has erupt after Chilwell came off the bench and turned things around for Chelsea.
Chelsea had a relatively poor start into the match against West Ham at Stamford Bridge, managing to be possessive of the ball but unable to create any goal scoring chance.
Midway through the second half, West Ham took the lead through Antonio close tap in. It was after conceiving Chelsea began pressing hard, trying to get an equalizer.
In the 72nd minute, Thomas Tuchel made a double sub, bringing on Ben Chilwell to replace Marc Cucurella and Kai Havertz to replace Mateo Kovacic.
Four minutes after coming in, Ben Chilwell found the back of the net, controlling a through ball from Thiago Silva and curling the ball into the back of the net through Lukasz Fabianski’s leg.
Chilwell also provided the assist that saw Kai Havertz score the winning goal in the 88th minute.
Chilwell’s super-sub performance has caused series of arguments online, with many opting that the English left back is a player than Marc Cucurella after his instant impact.
Here are some reactions below;
Wow! Chilwell! He definitely carries more attacking threat than Cucurella.

I was just telling a friend what Chilwell has over Cucurella is the threat he provides in attack. He scores and assists.
Few minutes later he did exactly that. 😂😂💙

Ben Chilwell's impact was incredible. A goal and an assist from the wing back position with Chelsea in dire need of inspiration.
He overcomes being left out for Marc Cucurella and his long term knee injury to take centre stage. Wonderful. #CFC #CHEWHU
