Cristiano Ronaldo blocks Transfermarkt over his valuation

Cristiano Ronaldo blocks Transfermarkt over his valuation

Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t too happy with his latest valuation in Transfermarkt, which has led to the star blocking the social media account of the organization.

Transfermarkt an organization that ranks players according to form and transfer value in football market.

According to Transfermarkt, they made a list of the most valuable players within age 33 and older and Cristiano Ronaldo was the most valuable player around the age grade, having over €30m to €50m value above the player who follows afterwards.

Ronaldo saw the rating and wasn’t too happy with the value attached to him, he immediately messaged Transfermarkt on their socials, saying he must be worth much more. Transfermarkt replied explaining the reason for the worth on his name and also mentioned he’s worth more than others within his age grade.

Daniel Busch, Transfermarkt UK manager said;

“We put a list on Instagram with 10 players 33 and older, and Ronaldo was still in first place in value, but he said he must be worth much more.

He sent a message first to our social media guys. They answered him, explained why, and told him, the people in your age group, you are by far No. 1.

It was €30m to €50m difference between Ronaldo and the next player on the list. And then he sent some smilies and then he blocked us”.

Cristiano Ronaldo first broke the transfer market record in his infamous move to Real Madrid from Manchester United in a deal worth around €94m in 2009. Making him the most expensive player during the time.
