Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has taken a swipe at Cristiano Ronaldo in a new interview with a comment on Lionel Messi.
Erik ten Hag had an ugly spell with Cristiano Ronaldo during the short time they spent together at Manchester United. The Dutch tactician dropped the five time Ballon d’OR winner to the bench, a circumstance the was completely unpleasant to the player.
An interview Ronaldo granted to Piers Morgan was enough to cut ties with both the manager and Manchester United. Now playing in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr, the Portuguese captain is looking to impact with his personality.

In an interview, Erik ten Hag tagged Lionel Messi as ‘ONE’ who doesn’t have to work for the team because of his qualities while saying that other players (Ronaldo inclusive) needs to work for the team.
The Manchester United boss made reference to Argentina World Cup run, insinuating on how Messi helped his nation win. He however didn’t mention any other player.
