FIFA has declared Lionel Messi, the Greatest Footballer of All Time after he let his country Argentina to FIFA World Cup victory in Qatar.

Lionel Messi has been in the debate of the Greatest Footballer of All Time for a long period of time but had the FIFA World Cup trophy missing from his trophy cabinet.

The Argentine is compared to both active players and players who retired before he began his football journey. The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Maradona, Pele etc.

The comparison with Cristiano Ronaldo is more hectic as both players shared the biggest stage in football between themselves of 15 years, splitting football fans amongst themselves.

Both players had literally won every available trophy except the World Cup. Messi lit up the World with an exciting performance in Qatar and finally clinched the trophy he dreamt of winning as a kid.
