FIFA set to ease ban on Russia competing in international football

FIFA are set to ease the ban on Russia national teams and allow them compete in international competitions.

FIFA and UEFA suspended Russia national and club teams from all competitions due to the invasion of Ukrainian territories. They were unable to participate in the 2022 World Cup as a result of this.

No FIFA or UEFA matches have been hosted in Russia since the suspension in 2022.

FIFA are now considering to ease the suspension placed on the country and allow them participate in the forth coming competitions to be hosted by the organization.

The football governing body recently allowed Russia u17 team to compete in the qualifier matches for the coming u17 EURO competition.

An official statement allowing Russia to participate in FIFA competitions will be released soon.
