Manchester City posted a video which featured Haaland in a promotional video with WWE legend John Cena.
A clip shared by the club on social media showed Haaland taking a call from his “secret super fan”. The secret super fan turned out to be John Cena.
The set up was arranged to announce their 2024 tour of the United States which will see city play against different opponents. One of the four friendlies will see Guardiola take on his former side Barcelona in Orlando on the 30th of July.
Haaland is currently out injured after pulling out of international commitment with Norway. He has had his fair share of injury niggles this season which has ensured a stop-start campaign for the Norwegian.
Haaland has not being at his very best in the last couple of matches and has been guilty of missing some unbelievable chances.
He remains a key player of Guardiola’s side who look to repeat their treble success from last season.
Manchester City take on Arsenal in a top of the table clash once the international break ends. Haaland will hope he can recover early enough to feature in a game that could decide the title.
City are currently one point behind in a three-horse title race with Liverpool and Arsenal. They are also in the semi final of the FA cup where they take on Chelsea, and in the quarter final of the Champions league where they take on Real Madrid.
