Ibrahimovic rates Ronaldo’s 53-calendar year goal in Saudi Pro League as 5 goals in Ligue 1

Former Paris Saint-Germain star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rated Cristiano Ronaldo 53-goals in a calendar year as just five goals in new statement.

38-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo emerge football highest goal scorer in a calendar year after finding the back of the net 53 times for Al Nassr and Portugal in 2023.

While many sang praises of the 5 time Ballon d’OR winner for his longevity and consistency, Ibrahimovic seemed to have a different view. The Swedish player radical talked down the Saudi Pro League with statistical comparison to French Ligue 1 and Spanish La Liga.

“Scoring 10 goals in the Saudi Pro League is like scoring 1 goal in Ligue 1…In Spain, it’s just like a corner kick.”

In essence, every 10 goals Ronaldo scored in Saudi Pro League in 2023 is equivalent to 1. With that, Ronaldo would have scored just 5 goals if he was playing in Ligue 1. The 3 times Pichichi trophy winner might have 0 goals if he was still in Spain according to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
