John Stones injury versus Belgium deepens Manchester City’s injury crisis ahead of Arsenal clash

John Stones has suffered an injury ten minutes into the friendly match versus Belgium. This injury comes as another blow to Manchester City’s preparations to face Arsenal when the Premier League resumes.

Manchester City face Arsenal in the biggest clash of the Premier League weekend after the international break.

Many see the match as a potential title decider and all eyes will be on the fixture after the break. Both teams are in contention to win the title along with Liverpool, with three points separating them.

Manchester City injury woes continue

Kyle Walker limped off in the first half of England’s loss to Brazil three days ago. He initially tried to continue after receiving treatment but eventually had to come off in the twentieth minute. Gareth Southgate brought on Villa’s Ezra Konsa as replacement before England went on to lose the game to Endrick’s goal.

The right back is an important member of City’s first team and has reportedly avoided a serious hamstring injury.

Walker has since reported back to Manchester City to be looked at by the club medics. He will face a race to be fit for the clash at Arsenal.

With the club still sweating over his fitness John stones has suffered an injury, joining him in the treatment room.

The club were also threatened with an injury scare to Haaland while training at Norway.

Looking ahead

Manchester City and John stones will be hoping that the injury is nothing serious. Stones will immediately return to City in order to assess the level of damage before any decision is made.

Rice mentioned ahead of the Belgium game that Stones was unaware of the bumper clash coming up at the weekend. He will want to recover as soon as possible to play a part in what certainly is a big one for both sides.
