Kylian Mbappe responds to Emi Martinez mockery celebration pointed at him

Kylian Mbappe has responded to the mockery made to him by Argentina goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez during his country’s celebration in Buenos Aires.

Emiliano Martinez was Argentina hero once again in the World Cup final. Stopping a last minute shot and saving two penalties in the shootout.

Martinez was one of the Argentine players who consoled Mbappe after the match but went on to mock him during his country’s celebration.

He first made Argentina players observe a one minute silence for Mbappe and later held a baby doll with Mbappe face on it during Argentina open bus parade in Buenos Aires.

Responding to journalist who asked about Martinez antics, Kylian Mbappe revealed he’s not wasting his on such things.

‘The celebrations, they’re not my problem,’ Mbappe told reporters when asked about Martinez’s actions following PSG 2-1 win over Strasbourg as reported by RMC Sport.

‘I don’t waste any energy on such futile things. What’s important for me is to give the best of myself for my club, and we’re looking forward for Leo (Messi) to turn to continue scoring and winning matches.’

‘I talked with him (Messi) after the match (World Cup), I congratulated him,’ Mbappe added. ‘It was a life’s goal for him, for me as well, but I failed, so you must always remain a good sportsman.

‘Personally, I will never get over it (losing the final). But my club is not responsible for this failure of our team, (so) I’ve tried to return with the most positive energy possible.’

Mbappe also wrote off having a fight with Lionel Messi, stating that they were both doing their jobs for their nations. He also added that Messi’s job now is to help him be as successful as he is.
