The frustrations from Liverpool fans can be understood as many, including Klopp, expected a response after their midweek debacle.

Both chance have been guilty of missing big chances, with Palace failing to draw level after having a chance cleared of the line.

If the result stays like this, Klopp’s chances for a fairytale farewell may just have slipped away.
