Paqueta switched from French Ligue 1 to the English Premier League, joining West Ham from Lyon. Since his arrival, Paqueta has engineered his name to be a household name not just in West Ham but the entirety of England.

Lucas Paqueta has been suspected by England FA to be involved in betting related activities and exploring football betting sites UK. Claims of Paqueta betting on himself to receive a yellow cards in some matches is currently being investigated by the English football governing body.

A 1-1 draw between West Ham and Aston Villa last season where Paqueta received a yellow card late-on in the match through a challenge that was seemingly needless, triggered the suspicion on his betting activities. His booking in West Ham opening game of the season is also being tagged along.

Paqueta has however denied the allegations, saying he’s shocked by it. England FA has since being quiet. Paqueta is the second player being linked with betting suspicion after Ivan Toney.
