Matip hands Tottenham a delayed win after heavy showdown

Liverpool defender, Joel Matip scored a final minute Ken goal to hand Tottenham Hotspur all three points in a heated showdown between both clubs.

Jurgen Klopp men would love to forget their visit to North London in a hurry after being showed double red cards. Curtis Jones was the first to be shown a straight red card after stamping his feet on Spurs Bissouma.

Referee Simon Hooper first showed the Englishman a yellow card but was called by the video assistant referee for a review of the incident. After Hooper’s review, he cancelled the yellow card before sending Jones out with a straight red card.

Diogo Jota replaced Liverpool scorer, Cody Gakpo after the break. He was sent out after receiving two yellow cards for fouling Destiny Udogie twice.

Despite being 9 men down, Liverpool held on to Tottenham till the 95th minute when Joel Matip tapped in a swift cross from Pedro Porro, leaving Allison Becker pinned in a particular position.

Klopp however was very pissed with Simon Hooper’s officiating, tagging it disastrous.
