Mohamed Salah reveals the club he is leaving Liverpool for

Mohamed Salah wants to quit Liverpool and join Real Madrid, according to journalist Miguel Delaney’s Reading the Game newsletter in The Independent.

Salah desires to play in La Liga, particularly for European giants Real Madrid, according to the well-known and respected writer.

Real Madrid defeated Liverpool in the final of the UEFA Champions League to be crowned champions of Europe for the 14th time last month.

Salah said before the game that he wanted to avenge Liverpool’s failure in the 2018 Champions League final to Los Blancos.

The 29-year-old has stated that he will remain at Liverpool until his current deal expires next summer.

Delaney wrote in his Reading the Game newsletter in The Independent (12pm, June 3, 2022):

“Liverpool have no major plans for their forward line this summer, despite new uncertainty after the Champions League final.

“Sadio Mane is almost certain to go to Bayern Munich, while Mohamed Salah has caused so many ripples by only going as far as saying he will definitely stay for another year.

“There is a new belief around the Egyptian that his main choice is to remain at Anfield, but that all depends on the offer, and his statement was as much an indication of his availability.

“News that he would be open to another Premier League move is true, but sources close to the player still insist a dream is to plan in Spain, preferably Real Madrid.”

It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will be willing to pay a huge salary to a 31-year-old attacking player in a year.
