Tough start at Chelsea

Moises Caicedo was spotted at a strip club

The Chelsea midfielder is enduring a difficult time at Chelsea this season after his big move from Brighton.

Caicedo completed a British record transfer when he moved from Brighton to Chelsea. His £115 million move eclipsed the price Arsenal paid to sign Declan Rice in the same window.

Chelsea fans won’t be too pleased to see Caicedo get into party mood after enjoying a win versus Guatemala. Many believe that he hasn’t lived up to his price tag yet when compared to his fellow summer signing Rice.

Caicedo spotted with Kendry Paez?

Caicedo didn’t enjoy his time at the strip club alone as reports have confirmed that another Chelsea player was there.

Kendry Paez was also at the strip club with other members of the Ecuador first team to celebrate the win.

The 16 year old signed in the summer of 2023 but cannot join the Premier League club yet. He will remain at Independiente del Valle until after his 18th birthday in May 2025.

Ecuador FA’s disapproval

The Ecuadorian football association has moved to disapprove of the images which confirmed that Moises Caicedo was spotted at a strip club.

Goal.com revealed that the FEF immediately put out an official statement which read:

Given the facts of public knowledge, the FEF expresses the following: The official delegation had free time on Friday, March 22, from 2pm to 8.30pm, a schedule that was fully complied with. Images of events contrary to the values and principles that we defend and promote as an institution have been disseminated, which will be the subject of analysis for future calls. We reiterate our commitment to Ecuadorian soccer.”

What next for Caicedo?

Caicedo will return to Chelsea after the international break which ended in a 2-0 loss to Italy.

Chelsea are currently 11th on the log and have a lot of ground to make up on if they are to finish the season as best as possible.
