In one of the match scenarios, Marc Cucurella received the ball inside the West Ham half as Mudryk was making a run down the left and slipping in behind his defender into space.

Cucurella moved inside instead of finding the winger, playing a straightforward pass to Enzo Fernandez, who wasn’t pleased with the choice.

A similar social media episode this week involving Chelsea’s co-owner Todd Boehly implicated Cucurella, who has also been struggling with a personal issue lately.

On Thursday, Boehly’s Twitter account liked a tweet from football.london that included remarks from legendary Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf in the post.

We don’t want to see Cucurella anymore,’ the club’s former defender said. ‘With all due respect to a man that I don’t know, the player is not good enough for Chelsea. It’s as simple as that.’
