PSG have saved €200m in expenses after Mbappe announced his departure from the club in the summer.

It details a one-year extension not triggered and loyalty bonus around €80m that is not going to be paid this season.

The club’s intention is to spend on four or five arrivals when the transfer window opens in the summer.

Mbappe broke the Internet today when he announced he will be leaving the club at the end of this season.

He spoke in a video posted on social media, saying:

“I’ve always said I would speak to you when this time comes. So I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint-Germain, I will not extend. The adventure will come to an end in a few weeks. It’s a lot of emotions, it’s hard and I never thought it would be this difficult to announce that I am leaving my country, but I think I needed this, a new challenge after seven years.

“PSG is a club that never leaves anyone indifferent, I do not regret at any moment signing with this prestigious club. It’s a club I will keep in my memory my entire life. I won’t be a player anymore but I will continue to always watch every game. I wanted to say thank you because without you all I would never have felt half the emotions I felt. Thank you all, I hope we will finish this year with a last trophy and I believe you will remain in my heart forever.”

Tier one journalist Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that PSG have saved €200m in expenses following Kylian Mbappé’s decision to depart.

Reports believe he is in discussions to acquire Sergio Ramos’ Madrid apartment as his move to Madrid nears.
