3 players that could leave Arsenal in the summer

3 players that could leave Arsenal in the summer

2022/2023 Premier League runners-up, Arsenal saw their title dreams drowned in favour of Manchester City, they will be looking forward to trying it again next season and that will prompt significant transfers,
incoming and outgoing.

They achieved a UCL qualification for the first time in more than half a decade and that looked
like their biggest achievement this term. So, with Arsenal playing in the UEFA Champions
League next season, they simply have to be better than they are now, meaning that they will
have to ruthlessly release certain players and sign top quality players this summer.
Apart from Granit Xhaka who will be leaving Arsenal for most likely Bayer Leverkusen this
summer, here are 3 players who could follow him out of the club this summer:

1. Kieran Tierney

Kieran Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic four years ago and along the line he became one of
Arsenal fans’ favourites. The left-back has struggled to make it to Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup this season with the presence of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

With 32 appearances so far, Kieran Tierney has managed a goal and an assist, although most
of the appearances came as a substitute.
He has been heavily-linked to a big move to Newcastle United with Eddie Howe revealing his
love for the player since he first saw him play.

2. Reiss Nelson

Reiss Nelson rose from the Arsenal youth ranks, he joined the club’s academy at the age of 9
and it really looks like his time at Arsenal could be coming to an end.

After recent loans with German club Hoffenheim where he scored 7 goals and Dutch club
Feyenoord where he scored 2 goals and registered 4 assists, he stayed at Arsenal for the
2022/23 PL season and really impressed the fans, proving to be a super-sub by scoring 3 big
goals and registering 2 assists in 10 league appearances including a dramatic winner against
Bournemouth.

More than half of the ten appearances have come as a substitute.
A source told Allsoccer that Reiss Nelson rejected a third contract offer from Arsenal and with
his contract expiring this summer, it looks like the 23-year old could be on his way out of the
club this summer.

3. Rob Holding

Arsenal will definitely be willing to sell Rob Holding this summer.

The 27-year old joined Arsenal in 2016 from Bolton Wanderers for about £2m. At Bolton, he won
their Player of the Year award and it attracted a cheap move to the then Arsene Wenger side.
Rob Holding has won two FA Cups and two Community Shields at Arsenal and he is one of the
more experienced players in Mikel Arteta’s squad presently.

With the presence of William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu,
Rob Holding has struggled for appearances this season. The injuries of Tomiyasu and Saliba
allowed Rob Holding to enter the starting lineup but several defeats and unsatisfied
performances saw him drop to the bench again in favour of Jakub Kiwior who joined the club
from Udinese in January.

AllSoccer can confirm that Rob Holding will most likely leave the club this summer as Arsenal
are hoping to raise the standards at the club.
