The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) have experienced series of mistakes that has resulted to different reactions from teams and fans. Some clubs have been subjected to the ill luck of VAR numerous times and a call for action that would at least minimize these errors are being made.

It’s the fifth season since VAR was introduced in the Premier League to help ease the stress referees face in making on-field decisions. While the Video Assistant Referee has been of great help in the past seasons, the 2023/2024 season has been the opposite.

Numerous wrong calls and decisions that has seen clubs loose points have been. It became so bad, a call of it spoiling the fun that comes with football is been made. What teams have suffered these poor decisions by VAR.

Liverpool

Diaz goal cancellation against Tottenham Hotspur is the most recent, causing PGMOL to apologize.

Arsenal

Arsenal is also a victim of VAR, costing them their first loss of the Premier League season.

Chelsea

Chelsea saw a few wrong call from Michael Oliver in their 3-3 draw against Manchester City.

Brighton

Brighton has been on the wrong side of VAR a few times. The latest is a red card against Sheffield United that saw them share points.

These are the teams affected by the wrong calls of VAR. Manchester City on the other hand passes to be the team with the least VAR controversy.
