The EPL are set to award Man City with a replica golden Premier League trophy by the season’s end.

Manchester City pipped Arsenal to the title by 5 points last season after Arsenal led for much of it. They joined a list of clubs who have won the Premier League title three times in a row when they completed their treble.

They are set to achieve the unthinkable this season by winning four on the trot, but it looks like this season will be harder.

Arsenal’s invincibles golden trophy

Arsenal are currently the only team with a golden trophy, awarded in 2003/04 for going the entire season unbeaten. They finished that season with 26 wins and 12 draws on their way to winning the Premier League title. Arsenal remain the only team to have done so, for now.

Bayer Leverkusen are currently on course to replicate the feat by the end of the season. They have gone the whole of the Bundesliga season unbeaten so far.

Man City to win a replica golden trophy of their own

Manchester City are in the mix to win the Premier League once again this season. It’s promising not to be as straight forward as the last win though as they are competing with two sides. Last season’s runners up Arsenal, and Liverpool are also in the mix for the title.

Arsenal are hunting for the title for the first time since their unbeaten league season. Liverpool on the other hand are vying to win it for the second time in 5 years. Both teams are threatening to take the fight to the last day of the season with nine games to go. There is also just a 3 points gap between the three sides after match week 29.
