Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain has been in and out of transfer sagas, battling over the future of the Frenchman who at the present time is amongst the top two most valuable players in football.
The future of Mbappe remains the biggest question in the football world as to where he would commit his future come the next summer transfer window.
Real Madrid has been in contact with Kylian Mbappe for the past two seasons and remains the favorite in capturing the expertise of the 24-year-old. However their have been numerous links with clubs in the English Premier League like Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool wavering around.
Before signing a two year extension at Parc des Princes in 2022, Mbappe clearly made known his intentions of leaving. This cause a whole chaos in the club in the just concluded 2023 summer transfer window. PSG asking for an extension as they are bent on not letting him leave for free in 2024 and Mbappe staying quite all through the brouhaha. Mbappe got temporarily dropped from PSG first team and was made to train with the B team but later joined first team after coming to an agreement with club.
To prevent losing Kylian Mbappe for free next summer, PSG reportedly extended an offer for a new contract to him last week. According to reports, the contract would have included a guaranteed exit provision for the 2024 window, but the player declined it, per Football.London.
Despite being hopeful and continuously trying to convince Mbappe to sign a new contract that goes beyond 2024, All Soccer understand that PSG has placed a new asking price on him incase of any steal-bids in the following weeks or the coming winter transfer window in January. A world record fee of £213 million (€250m) has been set as Mbappe’s release clause.
Reports have it that Mbappe is ready to give up the huge loyalty bonus on his contract just to ease access for his exit from Parc des Princes.
However, the eye-catching World Cup golden boot winner made a show of commitment to PSG after scoring in the club’s 1-1 draw against Toulouse, where he made chants of “Je reste la” which translates to “I would staying here.”
Real Madrid are reportedly putting together £105 million as they look to activate the chase of Kylian Mbappe.
