The World Cup scheduled to take place in Qatar is fast approaching and the Qataris fans have shown they are throwing their support behind Lionel Messi.

According to MARCA, Qatar government inaugurated the Lusail Stadium where the World Cup final would be played with a Lusail Super Cup match between the Saudi champions, Al Hilal, and the Egyptian champions, Zamalek.

The 80,000 capacity stadium will host 10 matches in the forth coming World Cup including one of the most sort after, Argentina vs Mexico.

At the event of the inauguration, Qataris showed up wearing Lionel Messi Argentina jersey in support of the player they would love to see raise the trophy in their home soil.

Messi is looking to raise the most prestigious football trophy.
