VIDEO: Ronaldo scores first free kick goal at Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo have scored his first free kick for Saudi club Al Nassr after going over a year without scoring a free kick.

The five time Ballon d’OR winner have had a date share of ill luck from spot kicks, especially free kick, scoring just a few in recent years.

With his team trailing one goal down to Abha in the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up for to take a free kick in the 79th minute. The 40-year-old Portuguese who recently called up for Portugal national team stepped up fired in a low shirt from long distance. The shot finds its way through the Abha wall and into the back of the net.

Ronaldo had a chance of scoring a brace but choose to give out a late penalty his teammate, Talisca who haven’t been in his best form, to help boost his confidence.

The match ended 2-1 in favour of Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.
