What happened?

Harvetz faced the prospects of being sent off for a second bookable offence after it appeared like he had dived in an attempt to win a penalty. It turned out to be one of three penalty shouts for the Gunners through out the game but all were turned down.

The game was poised at 1-1 with Brentford sitting deep, stymying Arsenal’s attacks and even threatening on the counter.

Havertz would pop up to head Arsenal into the lead late on. It is now four goals in as many games for the former Chelsea player who began the season with a lot of stick.
