Today we will consider some of the players with the most powerful shots in football.
So many come to mind when we discuss some of the scorers of great goals, some are players with the most powerful shots ever.
These players have a knack for hitting unstoppable efforts to threaten the goal whenever they can.
1. Ronny Heberson Furtado de Araujo
Homem-Bomba roughly translates to the human bomb. Yeah, you already know where this is going. The Brazilian, a left sided player clocked a shot around 210km/h when he shot and scored a feekick for Sporting Lisbon in 2006. Good luck standing in the way of that. And that is just one example of the kind of shots that fans came to know Ronny for when he played.
2. Ronald Koeman
Ronald Koeman played as a defender or as a midfielder for club and country. He did his job in both boxes for years but he did a better job attacking the opposition box than defending his own.
253 goals to become the highest goal-scoring defender in history is no fluke and many of that came from long range powerful strikes.
3. Roberto Carlos
The Brazilian should be number one on this list and a number of persons will scream bloody murder as to why he is not. But it’s simple reasoning, he is not officially in the top five list of players with the fastest shots. Ronald Koeman is.
However, do a quick search of the Brazilian left back and you’ll see what he is about. He is arguably the greatest left back ever, known for his tremendous shot power, especially from freekicks.
4. John Arne Rise
The Norwegian made a career for himself in the left back position but he could also play in midfield. He often endured spells either side of the form meter but on his day, he was a proper defender. He carried the ball effectively and struck it fiercely. His shot power is one of the most popular traits of John Arne Riise’s time as a professional footballer. He once played a shot that broke a certain Alan Smith’s leg in a game at Anfield.
5. Hulk
The guy could have starred in the Marvels Cinematic movies if he wanted to because of…. you know it….his hulking frame.
Hulk is the perfect embodiment of a player being built like a brick house and his shots probably felt like being hit by a bag of bricks as well.
He is known for his direct running and rasping pile-drivers of shots. Certainly one of the players with the most powerful shots ever.
