Sergio Ramos, Kepa Arrizabalaga dropped from Spain World Cup squad

2010 World Cup winner’s, Spain has released their 26 man World Cup squad and unbelievably, Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos and Chelsea shot stopper, Kepa Arrizabalaga failed to make the team.

Spanish national team coach, Luis Enrique has earlier dropped Manchester United shot stopper, David De Gea.

Sergio Ramos was hoping to make the team that would represent Spain in Qatar but unfortunately, his dream for a fifth World Cup tournament was cut short by Luis Enrique team selection.

“Everyone knows what playing for Spain means to me,” Ramos said last week, per Mirror

“I feel good, I’m available, but it’s a decision that doesn’t depend on me, it depends on the coach.

“I respect him a lot. I can only continue playing and waiting. I hope to have the opportunity to participate in a new World Cup.”

The former Barcelona coach picked a more younger team and had a preference of Athletic Bilbao’s Unai Simon, Brighton’s Robert Sanchez and Brentford’s David Raya ahead of Manchester United and Chelsea goalkeepers who are believed to be Spain’s biggest keepers across Europe.
