US Pays de Cassel will host Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Coupe de France on Monday and Lionel Messi will not feature in the game. Messi is left out in the squad that would feature in the French Cup.
The Argentine captain is left to rest as he doesn’t have any medical complaints. PSG medical teams in their most recent report has not included Lionel Messi’s name in their most recent update.
Messi is yet to feature for Paris Saint-Germain in the French Cup this season. Christopher Galtier did not feature Lionel Messi in the first league cup match against Chateauroux as he has just returned from World Cup holidays.
Messi has only featured for PSG in the friendly against Al Nassr and Al Hilal all star, where he started alongside Neymar and Mbappe in attack, where he scored the first goal in the 5-4 showdown. Neymar and Mbappe are however in the starting lineup for the French Cup.
