Cristiano Ronaldo endured a tough night as Al-Nassr succumbed to a 3-0 defeat by arch rivals, Al-Hilal Riyadh. And to make it even worse, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner had to ignore some wild “Messi” chants from fans of Al-Hilal.
Ronaldo was massively trolled by Al-Hilal fans after Friday’s game when he was returning to the dressing room. During and after the match, the rival supporters could be heard continously chanting the name of Ronaldo’s arch-rival, Lionel Messi.
However, while reacting to the wild “Messi” chants on the night, the Portugal and Al-Nassr captain responded in a surprising way than many people would expect. He was seen blowing out kisses in a show of love to the Al-Hilal fans.

Ronaldo’s reaction has since gone viral on social media. However, some Messi fans do not believe that reaction by Cristiano Ronaldo was genuine and instead, believe it was completely superficial.
One fan wrote: “Smiling outside, crying inside.”
While a second one wrote: “I bet Bro hears those chants in his dreams.”
It’s worth noting that Lionel Messi rejected an offer worth more than a billion dollars from Al-Hilal to move to the Saudi Pro League in the summer, and instead signed with US Major League Soccer side, Inter Miami.
