A weird statue of Al Nassr player, Cristiano Ronaldo has been unveiled in an Iran hotel. The statue has however drawn severe reactions and mockery.

The statue was erected in the lobby hotel Ronaldo stayed when he arrived Iran alongside other Al Nassr teammates ahead of the AFC Champions League game against Persepolis FC on Sept. 19.

Ronaldo was given a warm reception upon arriving Tehran. He lead his team to a 2-0 deserving victory.

Days after leaving Iran, the hotel were the 5 time Ballon d’OR winner stayed unveiled a statue. The statue however doesn’t 100% correspond with the looks of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Fan of Ronaldo were quick to berate the statute. One said;

“This looks like anything but Cristiano Ronaldo,” fans of the footballer wrote. Some others wrote: “This statue looks like an Iraqi actor.”
