Early reports say that no course for further worries

The teenager received treatment on the pitch before being taken off on a stretcher. He had an an oxygen mask strapped onto his face along with a neck brace.

A conscious Earthy left the London Stadium in an ambulance with his family after the match. His manager and club have declared that he is enroute to full recovery.

Westham manager David Moyes has provided an update on the wellness of the midfielder after the full-time whistle.

George Earthy suffered a head injury. He is awake and has been taken to hospital for further assessment.”

The club also released an official statement on the incident, saying:

“West Ham United can confirm George Earthy will undergo an assessment in a London hospital this evening following the incident which saw him stretchered off during today’s Premier League fixture against Fulham.”

Looking ahead

WestHam United will provide a further update in due course but early signs are promising. For now, David Moyes’ men have to turn their attention to the Europa League.

West Ham have a huge clash against newly crown Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen and need to over turn a 2-0 first leg deficit.
