Sutterer explained that the way Diakhaby’s foot was planted on the floor left his leg in an awkward angle. This resulted in the knee receiving maximum impact of Diakhaby’s weight as he landed on his leg. Sutterer explained that with knee dislocations, the greatest source of worry is injuries to nerves or blood vessels around the knee.

He explains that injuring the nerves may never completely heal and usually affects how much force one can exert on the knee.

As the results of scans are awaited, it has been confirmed that Diakhaby will be out for the rest of the season and possibly for a year. But there is a possibility that he may never walk or at least play football again.
