Worse than the Big Yak; Ronaldo misses goal from THREE Yards

Al Nassr had an opportunity to complete a remarkable comeback but Ronaldo missed the goal from three yards out.

Al Nassr came into the clash versus Al-Ain needing to win by twe goals to qualify for the next round of the AFC champions league.

Ronaldo returned to Al Nassr XI in the first leg following his one match suspension in the league. He was suspended for making an obscene gesture towards Al Hilal fans. The Portuguese failed to inspire his team to victory in the first leg of the AFC champions League clash versus Al-Ain.

Al-Ain won and led on aggregate courtesy of a 44th minute Rahimi goal which set the stage for the second leg.

In today’s second leg encounter, Al-Ain again raised into a 2 goal lead through Rahimi, making it 3-0 on aggregate.

The game was poised at 3-2 following a goal from Abdulrahman Ghareeb and an Al-Ain own goal.

Al Nassr had an effort on goal in the 60th minute following some delightful play between Brozovic and Mane. The goal keeper parried the ball out but only as far as Ronaldo. He only had to bundle the ball home from close range but Ronaldo missed the goal from THREE yards out.

Ronaldo looked absolutely mortified after missing the goal. His effort sums up his recent form for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

If he had scored, he could have leveled the tie on aggregate. Ronaldo’s horrible miss may prove to be costly. Al Nassr currently trail 3-4 on aggregate after Telles level the tie to send the game to extra time.
