Bayer Leverkusen coach, Xabi Alonso has commented on his linked with former club, Real Madrid saying “it’s too early.”
Xabi Alonso is pointed as the successor of Carlo Ancelotti at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Ancelotti expected to leave at the end of the season.
Chants of Alonso to take over as the coach of the club he played at during in playing days starts after he showed elite professionalism as he manages German team, Bayer Leverkusen.
The Spaniard has however said he’s not tensed by the links and it might be too quick for him.
“We are in September. So it is not a problem. Of course I am focused. We have started the season well and I must be the first to continue concentrating.”
Alonso also added that the issue does not concern him or his players.
“They know the soccer business. It is not a problem for any of them and we do not talk about it.”
