Zlatan Ibramovic calls out Canelo for threatening Lionel Messi

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has defended fellow footballer, Lionel Messi while calling out Mexican boxer, Canelo Alvarez who threatened the Argentine after seeing scenes from their dressing room.

Lionel Messi was instrumental for Argentina 2-0 win over Mexico in the second game of their group C match.

After the match, Messi had a shirt swap with Mexican captain, Andres Guardado and while in the dressing room dropped the shirt on the floor. A video recording when Argentina players where celebrating their win was sent online and the jersey was shown.

Reacting to the video, Canelo Alvarez called out Messi, saying he prays they don’t come in contact with each other else, he’ll beat up the seven time Ballon d’OR winner.

Canelo Alvarez reaction was not accepted by most football lovers and many has called out the boxing champion.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the latest football player to call out Canelo, saying the boxer would find himself in the afterlife if he touches Lionel Messi.

I didn’t know who Canelo was, but I see he’s a clown, he touches Messi and the next day he’ll be in the afterlife.”

Messi is fully focused on the World Cup and is yet to make an utterance regarding Canelo’s threat.
