Giant of Kandahar 1923 – Real or Fake?

Giant of Kandahar 1923 – Real or Fake?

The “Giant of Kandahar” is a contemporary myth or urban legend that has become well-known online.

This story is centered on an alleged encounter between a squad of American soldiers with a gigantic humanoid creature in the arid environment of Kandahar, Afghanistan. It’s important to make clear that this story lacks reliable evidence and should be regarded as fiction even though it has caught the imaginations of many people. It was first uploaded on a Facebook page named Marvelous Tajz with the caption;

“The giant of Kandahar, photographed Afghanistan 1923,” the caption read.

The Giant of Kandahar fable first surfaced in the early 2000’s and soon cemented its place in internet lore after it was re-edited and posted in September 2023. The tale often describes a massive being that is up to 15 feet tall, with six fingers on each hand, is covered in red hair, and occasionally has double rows of fangs.

It is also claimed that during a military operation in the area, a small group of troops came across this enormous monster. The men engaged in a fierce and deadly combat, but ultimately won and killed the monster.

A labyrinth of intrigue and government cover-up hypotheses has been spun around this tale by conspiracy theorists and paranormal aficionados. Some supporters contend that in order to maintain secret, the U.S. government has hid the facts about this astounding encounter.

They make assumptions about the giant’s ancestry, occasionally proposing connections to mythologies from antiquity or even alien life. It is important to approach this legend with a good amount of skepticism, though. The allegations made by those who insist they were involved in the alleged encounter are unsupported by any tangible evidence.

The US military has not formally confirmed any such event or engagement with a large beast in Kandahar or elsewhere, and no images or footage of the enormous have ever surfaced. The Giant of Kandahar’s tale follows a pattern that has appeared in several cryptid and supernatural stories throughout history.

However, we can confirm it is just myth and not real. It is Fake. The photo of the Giant of Kandahar is photoshopped. It is Fake.

Also the stories linked with it are fictions from professional story tellers.
