US President, Joe Biden announced Admiral Lisa Franchetti as the new leader of the Navy, making her the first ever woman to head the position. Her new position as stir up search for her husband, James Sievert.
Lisa Franchetti has been with the Navy for 38 years and she’s only the second woman to be decorated with a four-star Admiral in the US Navy.
After the current chief’s four-year term ends, Lisa Franchetti will take over. She will, however, begin working in an acting position as the US Senate has not yet confirmed the nomination, which might take some time.
