Lookmovie2 is a free movie streaming platform that has gained comparisons with top brands like Netflix and Hulu. With a new domain, Lookmovie2.to in circulation, question are being raised regarding it’s safety.
Lookmovie2 was previously Lookmovie.io as it’s primary domain but sadly in March 12, this domain was seized.
Reaction to this sad ordeal, Lookmovie reported that they didn’t receive any prior warning from an accuser, registrar or anyone, they just found at that their domain has being seized on March 12th.
“It happened without any prior warning from our registrar or anyone else,” Lookmovie said.
“Whether they knew but couldn’t tell us, didn’t want to tell us, or didn’t know, the fact remains that the domain is as good as dead.”
Lookmovie added: “The domain might be down, but we are not. our new domain is – lookmovie2.to”.
“To all premium members that paid for membership at lookmovie.io – your accounts are still active and you can log in.”
Lookmovie suspension was carried out by the .io registry in relation to copyright violation pointed to the domain.
.io domain registry have announced to join the fight against piracy site as they took down two of the biggest movie piracy sites which includes Lookmovie and Cuevana3.
“The suspension of these specific two domains was not the result of direct enforcement by ACE, but as you know we execute similar actions all the time. We collaborate with a number of domain name registries, registrars, and other intermediaries to take down pirate sites and their supporting infrastructure and identify operators, and we are happy to see the .io registry has joined the fight.” MPA’s Executive Vice President and Chief of Global Content Protection Jan van Voorn told Torrent Freak.
“All high-profile pirate sites and services are targets for ACE, and should expect an enforcement action aimed against them sooner rather than later.”
Lookmovie however have shown they are prepared to get on with bringing movies closer to their viewers by releasing a list of domains which they would switch to if their live domain gets taken down again. They also warned against fake domains that are not affiliated with them.
