Slide Jewelry ambassador scam or legit?

Slide Jewelry ambassador scam or legit?

There is an ambassador programme being run by the Slide jewellery company, and many individuals are curious as to whether the business is legitimate or a fraud.

The company’s website states that “Slide Jewels crafts luxury and affordable jewellery, made out of high-quality stainless steel and 18K gold plating.”

We can confirm it’s a scam.

We would describe it as a particular type of influencer scam in which a user contacts you via a social media network, typically Instagram, and offers you the chance to collaborate with or promote a brand.

The main brand account may get in touch with you occasionally, but it’s also possible that a new account will message you and point you towards the main account.

You will have to buy the brand’s goods in order to work with them, however you might get a discount. In order to generate money even with the discount, dropshipping websites sometimes employ this strategy by selling products from AliExpress at inflated costs.

If you get a message like this, just disregard it. This is just a marketing ploy to encourage you to make a purchase from their website.

The webpage is actually rather new. According to the ICANN Lookup, it was founded in 2021.

Additionally, the brand has received unfavourable social media evaluations. Reviews indicate that they charge for shipping, and the price continues going up. Therefore, they mostly rely on so-called ambassadors for revenue rather than on customers.

These businesses are exaggerating the cost of goods offered for sale on Ali Express and eBay and contacting you to encourage you to purchase the goods while posing as an ambassador.

Additionally, if shipping is required of you, you are not a brand ambassador; rather, you are a customer of the business.

The company claims that Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Cosmopolitan have all written about them, but we couldn’t find any evidence of this.

Here are some reviews;

“It’s a whole scam… I signed up to be an ambassador a few months ago. The quality is pretty cheap. I didn’t really mind it at first but then decided it’s a waste of money. I JUST tried unsubscribing but it does not let me at all. You first log in, click the three bars top left corner, click “logout” and it sends you to your account and order history, scroll down a bit and you see manage subscriptions, click subriptions and you see active subscriptions and then cancel… BUT then it asks reason why… it doesn’t let me click any of the options. I tried many times from my phone and computer. ugh”.

“I’ve been an ambassador for months now. I’ve decided to cancel my subscription and the website is not letting me do it. They also raise the shipping fee without telling you in advance. Shipping fee went from $10 to $15. They respond hella fast when you apply to be an ambassador but when you ask them for help to unsubscribe customer service is suddenly nonexistent. Most of the items’ quality is garbage. I’m still trying to cancel up to this day, scared they’ll raise the shipping fee even more.”

“Everyone needs to report this company to the government website for fraud. They put my card in negative and won’t stop charging me”.
