English Premier League toppers, Arsenal are showing keen interest in signing Fares Chaibi from Toulouse.

19-year-old Fares Chaibi has taken Ligue 1 by storm and has continued to shined in whatever position he is played between the midfield and attack.

Mikel Arteta’s team has been monitoring Fares Chaibi since mid 2022 as they believe the teenager fits into Arsenal team plan as they look to continue their fight towards Premier League triumph.

Arsenal are having their best season in over 15 years and are fighting to keep up with the run of good form. The team are looking to improve their already youthful squad with more young players. With eyes on a number of talents, Fares Chaibi stands out.

From Algeria but eligible to play for France, Fares Chaibi is a natural attacking midfielder but possesses ability to play upfront as a false nine and every other position in the midfield and attacking zone.

Though doesn’t have an experience of a pro and has never featured for any national team at any level, Mikel Arteta believes Fares Chaibi fits into his style of play and would be superb in the future.

Meet Fares Chaibi 

Born in Lyon, Fares began playing football on the streets and accompanying his older brother, Ilyes Chaibi to trainings. He joined FC Lyon as a teenager before he was signed by Toulouse in 2019.

Fares Chaibi possesses a quick foot, very fast and has a height range of 6ft. In his first season of playing for the Toulouse, Fares has already scored two goals and has provided four assists.

Fares brother, Ilyes played at Austrian and Moroccan leagues after leaving Monaco academy. He returned to France and joined lower division team, Thonon Evian, spending three years there before moving to Switzerland.

Toulouse worths Fares Chaibi around €20 million. Arsenal will send an official proposal in the coming weeks. Spanish outlet, Sevilla are also tracking the 19 year old.
