Chelsea has informed Barcelona they are open for a swap deal that would see Hakim Ziyech move to Barcelona and Franck Kessie to Chelsea.
Chelsea are in search of a midfielder as they look to end their midfield woes. The team has pointed to Franck Kessie to suit perfectly into the team’s midfield plan, hence initiating a player swap.
Chelsea have signed a number of players but are still in the market of signing as they feel the team still lacks some qualitative in some areas.
Barcelona on the other are boxed in the transfer market due to the financial capabilities of the club. In order to bring in a new player they have to let go of some players to be able to bring in new ones. A situation Chelsea is capitalizing on.
With Memphis Depay successful transfer to Atletico Madrid would make Ziyech coming to Spotify San Siro. Xavi had stated that he needs someone who can activate play from the left flank, a position that Ziyech suits in perfectly.
Reports in Spain claims Barcelona are not considering the swap deal. Their preference is a loan or separate deals. Franck Kessie on the other hand has said he’s happy at Barcelona.
Hakim Ziyech is also being followed by AS Roma who sees him as a perfect replacement for Zaniola. PSV are also monitoring the situation as they are heavily interested in Ziyech.
