Manchester City and PSG to trigger a swap deal for Bernardo Silva and Kylian Mbappe

PSG have made their interest in Portuguese winger Bernardo Silva known to Manchester City and with their talisman Kylian Mbappe insisting not to extend his contract at the club which will end in 2024. PSG could trigger a swap deal, exchanging Kylian Mbappe to get Bernardo Silva plus cash.

Kylian Mbappe has informed PSG of his intentions not to extend his current contract at the club and the contract is due to end in the summer of 2024. With that, PSG will be forced to sell their record top scorer this summer or try to convince him to extend his contract as they won’t want to lose him for free in the summer of 2024.

Nevertheless, it’s known that Kylian Mbappe had been linked to a move to his dream club Real Madrid for quite some time now and it looks like now is the perfect time for the move to happen, they’ve have been showing keen interest in Mbappe and were an inch from signing him in 2021 before the intervention of France President, Emmanuel Macron. The World Champions offered €200 million pounds in 2021 but they will now pay less if they are to bid for Kylian Mbappe this summer.

Kylian Mbappe current contract expires in 2024 and he will not extend it as he is looking for a new challenge and adventure.

Other clubs Kylian Mbappe could end up with are Manchester City and Manchester United. Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain could be willing to trigger a swap deal for Kylian Mbappe and Bernado Silva as they are both interested in them.

24-year old Kylian Mbappe remains a Paris Saint Germain legend! Scoring over 200 goals for the French giants. He was the highest goal scorer in the immediate 2022/23 French Ligue 1 season, winning the Ligue 1 title with them also.

Bernardo Silva on the other hand has been linked to a move away from Manchester City for quite some time now and it increasingly looks more likely for the Portuguese talent to leave the Etihad this summer.

He recently hinted that he wants to try a new challenge with his contract at Manchester City ending in 2025.

Paris Saint Germain, Arsenal and Barcelona have been among the clubs interested in the highly rated £80m winger and attacking midfielder.

Bernado has been so pivotal in Pep Guardiola’s success at Manchester City not only this season but other seasons as well, winning five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups and one precious UEFA Champions League trophy, also winning the FA Community Shield twice with Manchester City.

It will be exciting to see how the future of Bernardo Silva and Kylian Mbappe will eventually unfold.
