Before to the summer transfer opens, sources have confirmed that Tottenham is interested in unsettled Real Madrid‘s star, Marco Asensio.
If Asensio doesn’t agree to a new contract with Madrid by the end of the season, he will be made available for free.
In 264 professional appearances in all competitions since joining Madrid in 2016, Marco Asensio has scored 55 goals and assisted 29 others while scoring for the club.
The Spanish international has three Champions League championships with Los Blancos, and he will be vying for a fourth this year.
The attacker, whose contract expires in June, is reportedly being monitored by Spurs.
Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti had earlier stated that as long as Asensio contributes for the balance of the current season, he “doesn’t care” if he signs a new contract with the team.
Tottenham will compete with Man United and Arsenal for Asensio’s services at the end of the current campaign, as we reported earlier that both clubs are also tracking the player.
