Xavi has pointed out the position of Barcelona in signing top players like Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland just like their rivals Real Madrid.

Barcelona suffered a tremendously slow start to life in the first half of the season and are looking to make good corrections going into the second half of the season.

These corrections include signing new high profile players. However, this might not be the case as Xavi reveals its impossible for Barcelona to afford such players at this time.

“Haaland or Mbappé? We don’t have the economic situation, unfortunately.

I have to work with the players I have. We can’t think of this type of signings.”

Real Madrid are renewing their interest on Kylian Mbappe and would try to sign the Frenchman one more time when the summer transfer window opens. Real Madrid are also keen on signing Erling Haaland.
