Chelsea sign 16-year-old Riley Ebho

Chelsea have completed the signing of 16-year-old right-back Riley Ebho following his departure from West Ham United. The young defender, regarded as one of the promising prospects in his age group, has now put pen to paper on a contract with the Blues and will continue his development within the club’s prestigious academy setup.

Ebho’s move comes as part of Chelsea’s continued strategy to recruit top young talent from across England, strengthening their youth ranks with players who show strong technical ability and potential for future first-team integration. His performances at West Ham’s academy had already drawn attention for his composure on the ball, defensive awareness, and attacking runs down the flank qualities that align with Chelsea’s modern full-back profile.

The teenager joins the Cobham Academy with immediate effect and is expected to feature for Chelsea’s under-18 side this season. With the club’s strong record of nurturing young players into senior professionals, including the likes of Reece James and Levi Colwill, Ebho’s addition further underscores Chelsea’s commitment to building a long-term talent pipeline for the future.
